Clinical Safety Tours
These trainings adapt previously offered 2+ hour in-person safety tours of four units and departments of the hospital into 20-minute e-learnings. Both formats cover the same learning objectives and safety features. The e-learning format includes knowledge checks after each video to increase knowledge retention. From a time perspective, the development of four safety tours in two months total (from start to finish) was quite a feat. I included a survey in the e-learnings which I review regularly to identify trends and work towards an improved “version 2” of the modules.

Result: 800+ staff completions since launch! Abstract regarding development process accepted and presented at the Society of Academic and Medical Continuing Education (SACME) 2021. Participating as a panelist discussing my development process at the Canadian e-learning conference in June 2021.
