Mobile Game Mockups

Prior to working in training, I studied Food Science - it’s what my Bachelor of Science is in! And actually, a terrible FIFTEEN hour long certification course in Food Safety is what motivated me to become an e-learning developer. No video seek bars, no volume slider, and no real “WIIFM” (what’s in it for me) - those days were rough. Well, here’s an alternative to those painful hours of training. Of course this would be one component of the solution, but I’d be more than willing to create more. 😈

The document and mockups below outline a 2-person mobile application to help learners memorize the minimum temperature requirements for different foods. This app would be utilized as an in-classroom activity, combining digital elements with human interaction. The target audience is second year hospitality students who are just beginning to discuss issues of food safety and sanitation.
